320 gr of flour OR 2 1⁄2 cups
125 ml of water OR 1⁄2 cup
4-8 tablespoons olive oil – you can use more if you want more elastic dough
1 teaspoon vodka (optional)
1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
250 gr ground beef
1⁄2 onion (medium, finely chopped)
6 tablespoons of milk
1 teaspoon parsley flakes – or finely chopped fresh parsley
vegetable oil (for deep frying)

My girlfriend and I had these at a Russian food festival here where we live. It was out first time going to one, let alone eating some Russian cuisine. Definitely going to try making these, thanks for the recipe. Nice video’s btw, got a sub from me 😀

In England we now have little bakeries run by Polish, Russian and Latvian people to support the migrant workers here. Fantastic! I have discovered so many new foods, all delicious. This morning I saw these fried pastries and tried one. I asked the girl what they were called and I kind of understood what she said. Just now I googled and found a similar word “cebulais”. Wrong! But there were hints to something called chebureki and this is obviously what the lady was referring to. And then I saw your YouTube video! The chebureki I bought (it was exceedingly delicious; I ate it in my car before driving home) was larger than yours, but no matter. It was filled with pork. Next time I’m in that shop, hopefully they’ll have some more. That bakery also has sweet pastries filled with jam.
